Fausto Maria Franchi, Roma 1939. La sua formazione, sotto la guida dei Proff. Orlandini e Gerardi ha luogo presso il M.A.I., Museo Artistico Industriale di Roma, settore oreficeria. Il riconoscimento della critica avviene nel 1964 con la personale a New York, la realizzazione della legatura per il Libro d’oro della città di Roma e il Primo Premio del Concorso Nazionale di Oreficeria. È stato membro della Direzione Nazionale dell’Artistico della CNA e componente della Commissione esami per Periti, CCIAA di Roma. Promotore e direttore artistico sia di Desideri Preziosi, mostra annuale indetta dalla Camera di Commercio di Roma dal 1993 al 2008, sia del Concorso gioielloinarte, indetto dall’Università degli Orafi di Roma dal 2012 al 2016.
